|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-23-00663Charlie (male)|
Beautiful Charlie came to us from TX where he had a tough life. We believe he was abused as he watches where your hands are all the time, as if waiting to be hit. He does take cookies gently, though. There are what look to be burn marks on his back and scars on his head and face. He is nervous and shakes until he knows you. He likes walks on the leash and does well at it. At the moment, we would not recommend a home with another dog as there needs to be more testing to done. Charlie does need a foster or adopter with plenty of experience who understands him and has patience and time to dedicate to him. He has so much potential and looks at you with such soulful eyes. He is heartworm positive, but is undergoing treatment for it. Please give him a chance. With love, trust and time he will flourish. The vet has estimated his age to be around 6 and we believe he is St. Bernard/foxhound mix. (Less)

LOLA - Amazing Cocker Spaniel/St. Bernard Mix For Adoption with Supplies in Chicago, IL What an incredible dog! Lola is a mix of Cocker Spaniel and St. Bernard. She is just 1 and a half years old, very healthy, spayed and up to date on her shots. She has a very loving, loyal and protective personality. She enjoys being active, but is very well behaved when left alone at home. She is perfectly house broken and will make a wonderful addition to the right home. She is looking for a loving home where she can be the only dog and with people who have lots of time to spend with her. Work from home or retired folks would be perfect. Her wish list includes a nice, securely fenced yard, no kids under the age of 10, and a family who will cherish her as much as her current owner does. He is very sad to have to find her a new home, but he is being relocated to New York, with increased job demands which will leave little, if any, time for Lola. She deserves better. Please offer her a home today. You can call Debbie toll free at 888-720-3322 FREE for more information or submit and adoption offer for Lola here: http://petprosservices.com/adopt/ There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee. Saint Bernard Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Saint Bernard is an enormous, friendly and trustworthy dog. Saint Bernards are very patient with children and are extremely devoted to their people. It is important that Saint Bernards are thoroughly trained and socialized as puppies so that they are manageable as adults. Despite their huge size, Saint Bernards can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
