Rescue Me ID: 15-03-22-00034Abby (female)

Saint Bernard    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Abby is a 5 year old Saint Bernard. She is very special to my family. Unfortunately my husband and I separated and I moved to an apartment. My husband travels for work so he is not able to keep Abby and she is not cut out for apartment living. This is a very difficult decision and is extremely devastating for our 12 and 4 year old sons. Abby is perfect - she is a very loving dog. She does shed a lot and drools some - nothing like the movie Beethovan. She needs to be the only dog and I prefer that she go to someone with large dog experience and a fenced in yard. She will not take baths in a bathtub. In the warmer months she will allow you to ... (Read More)wash her outside but during the cold months I take her to the groomer. She is due for a vet visit which I will take care of. I just want to find someone that will love her as much as we do. (Less)

Peaches is an absolutely beautiful 4-5 years old, in the Newport News, VA area. She is one of the largest females. She's loves children although she is 155 lbs and should go to a home with older kids due to her size. She is a sweet loving dog who has been moved around way too much. She should be the only pet. She is funny and very smart and needs a home where she will be part of and treated with kindness and play. She has basic commands and we are told by her fosters she has perfect manners. Her previous owners surrendered her due to no fault of her own they simply no longer had the time to give her the attention they felt she deserves. ... (Read More)She is fully vetted/UTD and spayed. Fostered by a Vet Tech. If you are interested in Peaches please contact Dawn 610-787-2353. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-28-00106Jax (male)

Saint Bernard    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I have a 9 year old male St. Bernard who is very dominate and territorial. He has had extensive training and is good most of the time. It takes him time to warm up to strangers. The reason I have to re home him is because he does not like my son who has just started walking and I have to look out for the safety of my child.

Saint Bernard dogs have rescued thousands of people from freezing to death in snowstorms and avalanches. Saint Bernards were bred by a monk to be able to rescue Alpine travelers.
