Rescue Me ID: 16-01-29-00226Rollo (male)

Saint Bernard Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Howdy, I'm Rollo, and I really need a place to stay. My current family says I have to find a new home, 'cause they just don't have time for me anymore. They've been trying to find me a new home for over 3 weeks, and now it's becoming urgent that I find a new home soon. If I don't, I'll have to go back to the shelter I was adopted from, and even though it's a great shelter, I really don't want to go back. I'm looking for either a forever home or a foster home. A forever home means you would make me a part of your family permanently, and love and care for me forever and ever. A foster home means you would take me in and care for me until I ... (Read More)find my forever home. Either one would keep me from being returned to the shelter! Here's a little more about me: I'm a young pup of not quite a year old, and I have lots of energy. I love running around outside, playing, and going for walks! I'm a big boy of about 70 lbs, but my family says I don't know how big I am :)! I'm good with other dogs, and kids too! I'm already housebroken and I know basic commands like sit, stay and come. I'm very sweet and loving, and super friendly! And last, but certainly not least, I'm very handsome (even if I do say so myself)! Can you give me a place to stay, either permanently or just while I wait for my forever home? If so, please email the really nice people listed below - they are helping my family find me a new home. They can also tell you more about fostering if you're interested! (They foster dogs themselves, so they know how it works). Thanks so much, I can't wait to meet you! (Less)

Patches is a half GreatPyr/half Saint Bernard that is approximately 1-2 years old. He came to us from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is a great, fun loving, young boy that is very smart and very well mannered. He loves playing with smaller dogs and loves to play tug of war. He is very gentle with the smaller dogs. He has now been neutered and is current on all shots and is heartworm negative. He weighs approximately 85 pounds and is full grown. He also is a very good indicator for protection. That is the great Pyr in him. He will bark when someone approaches that he does not know, not to be mean but to let you know someone new is ... (Read More)around. If you are wanting a gorgeous, long haired fluffy boy, please give our Patches the opportunity to win your heart. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-24-00544Romeo (male)

Saint Bernard Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We would like to introduce Mr. Romeo. He is a pup that was born on 3-3-14. His Mom gave birth to 12 puppies at the Dallas Animal Shelter. We were successful in finding wonderful homes for his mother, Molly and all of the pups. Molly was a St. Bernard/Austrialian Shepherd mix. We did not know what breed of dog the father or fathers of these pups were. Mr. Romeo was adopted and received lots of love and attention since he was born. Due to a lifestyle change Romeo was recently returned to us, not due to any fault of his own. He is a fabulous, well behaved, fun loving boy. He gets along with all dogs, is housetrained, neutered, current ... (Read More)on vaccinations, heartworm negative and just a joy to be around. He will bring lots of love and attention to any family. Romeo weighs approximately 60 pounds and is full grown. We believe he is a mix of a boxer and a St. Bernard. You do not really see any St. Bernard in him by looking at him, however, since we know his mother we know there is Saint in his genes. In looking at Romeo now, I believe there is a breed similar to a Brittany Spaniel based on his current looks. He has the most beautiful beige and white markings and has a coat that is easy to keep clean. You don't have to worry about dematting or knots with his short beautiful coat. If you are wanting a fabulous new pet to add to your family please consider meeting Romeo. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. If you would like to visit Romeo, please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-02-00021Celery (male)

Saint Bernard Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Happy New Year!! Welcome to 2016. To start the New Year off right you should get healthy! Try getting more fruits and vegetables! You can start with me, Celery! I was picked up from a scary place with my sisters, Avocado and Carrot. Our names might sound funny but they're so fitting because we will improve your days for many years to come. Foster mom says I am a very sweet puppy. Being puppies we're still working on the potty training but I'm really trying. I still sleep in a crate at night until I can be trusted to sleep through the night or let foster mom know when I need to go out. There is no doubt that I will be a bigger dog when I am ... (Read More)all grown up'|and I'm well on my way with the way I eat! My sister and I play with each other, but we are not rough playing puppies. We're both pretty easy going over all and love to cuddle on the couch to watch TV. Toys are good for us to work out the puppy energy. Foster mom thinks the hound in us is starting to show because when we bark it is with a little howl as well; so cute! Until we get another round of shots we can't come to the Adoption Center but foster mom really don't see us lasting too long before loving forever homes find us. If you are interested then don't delay! Celery is lab/hound/St. Bernard mix and is about 3 months old and approximately 15 pounds. Applications are available at www.k-9angelsrescue.org. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our websitehttp://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. ADOPTION FEE: $200 (includes spay/neuter, shots, microchip, medicines and other medical procedures, if necessary) ADOPTION CENTER: 5533 Weslayan St. in the Weslayan Plaza Shopping Center Houston, TX 77005 HOURS: Saturdays 10 AM - 6 PM and Sundays 11 AM - 3:30 PM NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian.     Toby Keith is a half Saint/half Lab that weight approximately 89 pounds and is housetrained and great with other dogs, kids and adults. Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Otis is a full Saint that came to us from a high kill shelter. This was one of the saddest looking dogs that we have ever seen in the 13 years we have operated Saint Cloud's Rescue.. To say he was thin is not enough he was emaciated. And most of his body functions were shutting down. Driving back form the shelter we immediately went to our vet for guidance and input if we should try to save Otis. After running bloodwork our vet believed he could be helped.
