We couldn't be any happier with Saint. He is so lovable and very well behaved. It's as if we had owned him from a puppy. The best choice we made this year was adopting him. Thank you, Rescue Me!

A wonderful family near us has rescued Ben! I hated to give him up, but cannot be more thrilled to be able to give him to a farm where he can run, grow, and heal! Ben now has a big brother, a Mastiff, that is nearly twice his size (which seems hard for me to comprehend). I'm so happy that Ben has a chance to live out his life in a loving home that wants him also! Thank you all who have inquired about our Ben through Rescue Me!

I would like to thank this group of people at Rescue Me, and Jeff Gold for sure. This site created more interest, compassion, and responses than any other resource. Pumba is in a great place. I pray that he will adjust and become the best that he can be. I hope that he brings joy to his new family like he won me over in just three weeks that I had him. Sincerely, Nancy

I was signed up on many websites for Saint Bernard alerts. I was hesitant to get an older dog since Saint Bernard life spans are fairly short, but I found a four year old mix (mixes tend to live longer). I called about him just in time, as the owners were planning on taking him to the Humane Society the next day. I made a six hour round trip drive to pick him up. I couldn't be happier. He's in a completely different environment with us than he was before and he's adjusting so well. We love him so much! Thanks, Rescue Me!

I posted Henry for adoption, and within a week, he had found his home with another family in the country. It sounds like a perfect fit for his personality. He is really an outdoor boy, and although our home is country, we are by a highway so it wasn't as free country living as he will get now!

I have been fostering P'oh, a female Saint Bernard for a approximately eight months. She's basically a gentle giant. When I posted her on Rescue Me, I had very high expectations and wanted to make sure she found the best possible family and people who will do right by her. I can honestly say without a doubt on Rescue Me I found the perfect people for P'oh. A very lovely couple will be driving out Sunday to pick P'oh up. I honestly could not be more pleased they had provided veterinarian information references they have experience with other Saint Bernard/big breed dogs and they currently have a big breed dog themselves. It is just the perfect situation for her and I could not be more happy. I would like to thank you, Rescue Me, very, very much for you putting a website out there like this. I will definitely be sending a donation. I will be spreading the word to people who need help with adopting out animals, as a few friends of mine work for rescue organizations. This is just amazing! Thanks so much.

Saved by the bell! My wife was going to take him to the shelter on Monday, but he was fortunate that someone answered my Rescue Me post Saturday Morning. After he ate two large bowls of food, my wife started to cut the knots out of his tail I scratched his belly and he began wagging his tail. My wife then began giving him a flea bath and he enjoyed that. We took him back into the garage where we kept him Friday night and he started rolling around on the floor and acting like a dog instead of a suffering animal. My wife and I talked to the lady who was interested in adopting him and last night we met her and he went to his new owner. He has a new lease on life that he did not have before we rescued him Friday night. Thank you for your website because this dog would not have made it if it wasn't for you.

I was very lucky to have found Charlie Bucket on Rescue Me. My Clifford (part Saint) had passed away at age 13.6 yrs and the house was suddenly very lonesome and big and empty. My boyfriend and I had hugely broken hearts. I took the chance of checking the Rescue Me website after almost three weeks of crying myself to sleep nightly, and there was Charlie Bucket! And, he was just an hour away from where we live. I couldn't believe it. It was love at first sight. He's an older boy, who is housebroken and had had a similar surgery to our Clifford, so we know how to handle his needs. He is such a love and the house is happy again. He wants to be touched and to touch and lean into you. Just what two broken hearted people needed. He's his own dog. He is such a blessing and I think his finding us was divinely inspired. We are grateful to his former parents who are moving overseas that they trusted us to take him on. He is a gift, and he's rescuing us, instead of vice versa! Thank you, Rescue Me! (By the way, Charlie Bucket was the little boy character in the Willi Wonka movie; he won the golden ticket when he was not tempted by greed or other vices! Seems to fit!)

It was amazing to find so many families wanting to adopt and who were good families. They found Gunner through Rescue Me and we are very thankful for this organization and website to bring the needs out there to so many. We are very happy with his new family, as he is. Spoiled already and getting outside like he wants. Farm life wasn't for him, but the 'burbs' seem to be the liking, long walks and family gatherings. We are hopeful that the love will continue for him and his new family. Sincerely, Susan

Many thanks to Rescue Me and coordinators Neil Banks and Courtney Helm for making the adoption of Barli and Natasha into their furever home and pleasant and enjoyable process. As a volunteer with the local rescue organization, I am well aware of all the time and effort that goes into properly vetting new owners and getting the animals into proper homes. My new 'children' are settling in wonderfully and I couldn't be happier.

After posting Saint Bernards on this site, I am glad to announce both dogs were adopted. Both animals enjoy medical aid cover provided by their owners and both are very happy where they are. The male is on a farm with several other dogs and he is now in charge. The female is also on a farm not very far from where we live. I saw the dog last week for the second time since adoption and she looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you to 'Rescue Me!' You guys are doing a great job.

My husband, three children and I just adopted Nana on Saturday. She is a super special dog!! We are so glad she has come to live with us. I am so thankful for the Rescue Me site as Nana was our third adoption. We have successfully provided forever homes to our Bull Mastiff (Zoe Belle), Great Dane (Xoe Mae) and now Saint Bernard (Nana). Our house is pretty full of dogs now! The adoptions have been very smooth and encouraging. I have shared this site with many friends and family who have been interested in adopting. It is such a fulfilling experience to know that we were able to open our farm to these three beautiful, loving girls. Our family is very grateful for the families that have trusted us to take them. Thank you for starting this site. It is comforting to know that there are people out there that care enough about their pets to actually seek a new home for them as opposed to just dropping them off somewhere.      I rescued my first St. Bernard when I was in high school. Ever since then, I've adopted, fostered, and rescued many over the years. In June we lost our Barklee to seizures. We rescued him from an unhealthy and abused situation. We still had our Peaches who I rescued six years ago and you could tell she needed a pal to hang out with. You never know when the right time is but here comes one that needs to be loved and cared for. There hadn't been any Saints that needed rescuing for awhile, and then I received an alert about Spazz that needed to be adopted soon. My fiance and I thought we had to rescue this little guy. We contacted the animal shelter and made arrangements to go get him. Amanda at the animal shelter had been taking care of Spazz for awhile and she was so happy to know he would be going to a forever home. It was a five hour drive to pick him up. Amanda was so excited she offered to meet us half way on her own time. He's a small Saint Bernard mix, but lovable. He has more energy than our grandkids. It snowed over the weekend we brought him home. The dogs played all day in the snow. They do everything together. For all the people who have rescued a pet know there's more still waiting. Knowing our dog is loved and has a furever home brings joy to our hearts everyday we get to love him. And to all the rescued ones that we've had to live in our home, we know there will be many more.

Daisy Sue has been adopted by my family and we just love her to pieces. We are thankful Rescue Me exists and has brought such a sweet girl to our home. She is getting the vetting, training, and spay she needs now. It was a blessing that her former owners gave her up and allowed us to give Daisy a furever home.

Thank you so much, Rescue Me! We just adopted a beautiful St. Bernard, Sophie. She is the biggest sweetheart and fits into our family just perfectly! Our St. Bernard/Mastiff puppy loves her to death and plays with her whenever she can, while our older dog enjoys her company. All of our kids just love her so much. We couldn't have asked for a better dog! God bless her former owner for giving her up and allowing us to let her be her forever home. We're so grateful!

Thank you so much, Rescue Me, for helping me find a forever home for my St Bernard Henrik. I felt so guilty over the fact that he was not flourishing in our home. I have rescued and adopted many animals over the years and never had one who was so unhappy with my family. Then again, I was also much younger, single, and had plenty of money to spend on pet care when I was involved in many previous rescue efforts. I now realize that a large dog in the prime of life just was not thrilled to be living with a middle-aged woman who is not all that much fun. At his new home, he has two ladies who love him, along with two boys and of course all of their friends. And even a doggy-friend like he had with us. Now I just need to give extra love to my beagle who misses him tremendously!

I have been looking for a companion for my five year old female Saint Bernard, Honey, who I rescued three years ago. I found Sampson, a six year old male Saint on your website. He was in a town only about 20 minutes from my home. After contacting Sampson's owner and visiting him, I picked up Sam and took him straight to my vet. Sampson had a severe ear infection and because of the cost to treat him his owner surrendered him to a good home with the stipulation that his ear infection be addressed. My vet treated Sam's ear, vaccinated him and micro-chipped him. After a week, Sam's infected ear is on the road to recovery. I have to take him back to my vet for a recheck in another week. Once Sam's ear is fully healed, it's on to the groomer for a spa day. I am so fortunate to have Sam as a part of my Saint family. He gets along great with my other Saint, Honey. He is becoming more and more secure and comfortable in his new home. My heartfelt thanks go out to 'Rescue Me' for making this adoption a huge success. God bless!!

We just got Daisy through Rescue Me awhile back and was looking for her playmate and found Pete. We met half way with the family. At first the dogs didn't like each other. It took about an hour to warm up and then we brought Pete home. So excited to add another Rescue Me dog. It was funny because Daisy jumped up front and made my hubby sit in back the whole ride home. 170 pound Saint Bernard in the back seat with hubby was priceless.

The new family has been very gracious with me and has kept me informed of his transition. He looks so happy in his new home. This was one of the hardest things I have done, and it went so smoothly. Within the first 24 hours of posting Chauncey I received eight contacts from people interested.      Formerly known as Short Stuff because of his size, he was renamed by me, Governor Yukon. He was found on the freeway, and no one came forward to claim him. He was a masterpiece of regalness and reserve! Not all St. Bernard, as his short stuff size suggested. We were quite surprised when an older couple saw something special in him and took him home! It turned out they are nationally recognized breeders of the St. Bernard - retired- from the Silverado Saints Kennels here locally in Grants Pass. He joins a new buddy - grand play yards - and folks devoted to their dogs! Thank you again!

She went to a very loving home with a couple whose dogs are their kids and they found Hannah on this site.      Thanks to Rescue Me's Saint Bernard Rescue my beautiful baby Shiloh has found a new family that will love and cherish her as much if not more than her current family. Mary Ann and Mike with their son Chris drove for over two hours to meet Miss Shiloh in her own comfort zone. They were well rewarded with a dog that normally takes days to approach new people, she approached them within minutes of their arrival! This is so bittersweet for me because I love this dog like my child but as I told Mary Ann it is about Shiloh not me! I see Miss Shiloh being able to grow old with her new family and loving life to its fullest. Mike and Mary Ann, I can't thank you both enough for providing the love for my girl that I no longer can.      A wonderful family saw our St. Bernard on Rescue Me! and contacted us to meet him one week ago. We invited their whole family to our home and they fell in love with our gentle giant. We took Leo to their home today and he walked all around their yard, smelled every inch of their house, and got an immediate understanding with their teacup Chihuahua. From there, he found a big rug and laid down for a nap. They were a wonderful family, and I am totally comfortable with the new family he has found. Thank you so much for your service.      That was a very fast response Jeff, thank you! I was very worried about finding my wonderful dog a new home he has been the best dog I have ever had... within 1/2 hour i was already receiving calls on chester, i had 4 responses within a day so then had all meet with us and him and it was a easy pick the family he went to has 3 kids also (but all girls) they came to visit ,took him home immediatly (the kids were expecting a chihuahua lol) the next day he went to groomers washed and hair cut, then to dog food store and then out to pick up his very own chair for the living-room. I am keeping in touch ,they said we could come over anytime....I think Chester will be very well loved and even more spoiled than he was....thank you for this website, I had no clue what I was going to do he couldn't make the move with us. so again thank you very much ....tina

Jeff, Mona was adopted and has a great home thanks to your site. St. Bernards require special care and environment and this breed is certainly an acquired taste. This dog was abandoned and I took it upon myself to find her and her brother a home. I received many emails and after review, I was able to place both of them in a loving environment suitable to their needs. Stephanie

She was adopted by a family in Idaho. I had several inquiries and only one followed through but it was a good experience. Thank you. Sherry

Thank you so much for 'Rescue Me.' He's such a big lug, I was worried that Rex might have trouble finding a new home. My grown son had to give him up so I posted him on 'Rescue Me.' I was so happy to receive quite a few responses. It was nice to have a choice on who he would go to. It was a little hard to decide between several good homes! He now has a loving family and has adapted very well to his new home......... THANK YOU! KATHY HUTCHINSON

Thank you for this site, I think it is wonderful especially since actual 'breed rescues' aren't taking in any new ones. This helps for anyone looking for any breed specifically. This lady came for Mia 3 1/2 hours away. Thank you again I am 100% confident she found a good home!!

Dear Jeff, A month ago I posted a Saint Bernard for adoption on your website. Around four days later we received a phone call from a really nice couple with three children who were looking for a Saint Bernard for their family that was good with kids. We spoke with them several times that week and found out that the husband had grown up with Saint Bernard's and knew a lot about them, which made us more comfortable in knowing and hoping that they would give him a good home. The family met with us and Bear and they loved him. They adopted him, and we have been in touch with them several times the last few weeks and everything is going great. They Love Bear to pieces, and we appreciate that they have stayed in touch with us. We really appreciate your website. It is very easy to use and for us, with great results! Thanks so much, Sean and Bertha Roan
